ABOUT THE ROUTE

 

Discovery tour alternating technical tracks and easier gravel roads.

Lots of unforgettable trails are waiting for you. Everything in this tour has been put together to offer you the most enjoyable routes of the area.

The route will bring you through the Tankwa Karoo and the Sutherland plateau, before crossing the Doring River and heading North to Nieuwoudville, where the notorious Die Hel loop will wait for you. The Rooibos Heritage Route is another highlight and will bring you to Wupperthal and the Cederberg Mountains, before eventually returning to Cape Town.

Please be aware that although off-road skills are not pre-required, a reasonable level of fitness is strongly recommended in order to fully enjoy the trip.

Nieuwoudtville loops (die Hel and Kokerboom) on the Bokkefeld Plateau

OTHER INFORMATION

 

This tour only requires basic off-road skills, however and although the small displacement dual-sport motorcycles make things easier than with a big adventure bike, a reasonable level of fitness is strongly recommended.

Some of the trails are not practicable after heavy rains, in that manner the itinerary described might be, for safety reasons, slightly modified and without prior notice.

For off-road newcomers, we recommend to add one more training day at the beginning of the tour.
